For clients

A sanctuary that treats wellness as a whole.

Grounding, restorative and deeply human. An environment created to support your mind, body and emotional needs.

Meet our practitioners

Your experience

Slow down, take a breath and reconnect with yourself.

As you step through the door, you can expect an experience designed to support your mind, body, and emotional needs in a way that feels grounding, restorative, and deeply human. The space is built to set the tone of your experience while you’re with us, with calm lighting, natural textures, comfortable furnishings and plenty of houseplants working together to create an atmosphere where you can slow down, take a breath and reconnect with yourself. From the moment you arrive, we want to welcome you into an environment that prioritises psychological safety, comfort, and personal agency.

We aim to host a mix of offerings that integrate multiple areas of wellbeing, such as mindfulness practices, body‑based therapies, gentle movement, breathwork, and restorative treatments that help regulate the nervous system. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, practitioners support clients in understanding the interconnectedness of stress, physical tension, emotional patterns, and lifestyle habits. This creates a more complete picture of wellbeing and opens the door to sustainable change.

Personalised support

Sessions shaped around you.

Depending on the session you have booked, some will be collaborative, personalised and client-led, others will be education or class based, where you will be guided through tools and techniques to support your wellbeing journey.

Community wellbeing

Connection that reaches further.

Community is really important to us. We plan to host workshops, small group sessions, and educational events to help clients and members of the local community build supportive connections while learning practical tools and practices for everyday resilience.

Whether you’re seeking stress relief, emotional balance, physical restoration, or simply a moment of stillness, the space is designed to meet them with warmth and intention.

BACP REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC COUNSELLOR

Hayley Turton

BACP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for children and young people providing a warm, safe, and friendly space where children and teenagers, aged 4–18, can talk about their thoughts and feelings at their own pace, completely without judgment. Taking the first step to find a counsellor for your child can feel daunting. Every child is unique, so Hayley adapts the time together to suit their personality and needs. Children often find it hard to put big, overwhelming emotions into words, so she loves to use creative tools like sand trays, crafts, and games. With specialised clinical training and lots of experience working in schools and trauma services, Hayley is here to support young people who are navigating things like anxiety, school stress, family changes, or difficult life experiences. Hayley will be at Durham Wellness Space on Thursday afternoons.
